The ethernet media converter has one (or more) RJ-45 10/100/1000BASE-T electrical port and one (or more) 100/1000 Mbps optical SFP port.
The SFP port supports a variety of wavelengths, optical speeds, and fiber types depending on which SFP module used (multimode, singlemode, or bidirectional single fiber)
