Arc lamps are designed to produce continuous lighting.
Flash Lamps are gas discharge devices, usually filled with Xenon or Krypton, designed to produce pulsed radiation.
Flashlamps and Arc lamps are currently used in different application fields such as:
- Medical applications which include the aesthetic market, dermatology, urology and general surgery.
- Industrial laser for welding, cutting, laser marking, drilling and inspection or for non-laser industrial applications inlcuding solar panel testing and solar simulation
- Scientific lasers which include spectroscopy, imaging, and high energy physics research.
